HERI EDY : MENJADIKAN KABUPATEN TEGAL SEBAGAI SENTRA UDANG GALAH

Lebaksiu, Kab. Tegal (24/11) - Balai Diklat Perikanan Tegal (BPPP Tegal) mengadakan Pelatihan Kelautan dan Perikanan Angkatan VI Bidang Pembesaran Udang Galah Bagi Masyarakat Perikanan di Kabupaten Tegal, Senin pagi (24/11) di kediaman Baihaqi, salah seorang peserta pelatihan. Pelatihan akan digelar selama enam hari mulai tanggal 24 s.d. 29 November 2014.
Hadir dalam pembukaan pelatihan, Ir. Moch. Heri Edy, M.S, Kepala BPPP Tegal, Ir. Toto Subagio, M.M., Kepala Dinas Kelautan, Perikanan dan Peternakan (DKPP) Kab. Tegal, Moch. Muchlisin, A.Pi, M.P, Kepala Seksi Program BPPP Tegal dan Ir. Lili Herlambang, Kabid Perikanan DKPP Kab. Tegal.
Dihadapan 30 orang peserta, Heri Edy, menyampaikan, "Pelatihan yang dilaksanakan oleh BPPP Tegal, tidak hanya di kampus BPPP Tegal, tetapi juga dillaksanakan di tempat lokasi pelaku utama seperti saat ini. Udang galah merupakan komoditas perikanan yang sangat penting, ujarnya, tetapi pembudidaya udang galah saat ini masih terbatas. Untuk itu ia mendorong agar budidaya udang galah di Kabupaten Tegal dapat berkembang lebih baik. Heri Edy juga berharap, agar di desa ini menjadi pelopor bagi pembudidaya-pembudidaya udang galah yang ada di Kabupaten Tegal dan menjadikan Kabupaten Tegal sebagai sentra Udang Galah di Indonesia.
Di lokasi ini (Kabupaten Tegal) mempunyai potensi alamnya yang sangat baik untuk diusahakan budidaya udang galah. Disamping air yang melimpah juga struktur tanahnya yang cocok untuk dibudidayakan udang galah.
Toto Subagio mengungkapkan, "Kegiatan semacam ini sesuai dengan Visi Bupati Tegal, yaitu mewujudkan masyarakat Kabupaten Tegal yang mandiri, unggul ,berbudaya, religius dan sejahtera" Ia berharap, Kegiatan semacam akan berujung pada peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat Kabupaten Tegal. Jika ini berhasil, lanjutnya, akan mengundang stake holder untuk bisa mendukung dalam pengembangan udang galah. Selain itu, ia akan membuat paket-paket sejenis untuk desa-desa lain yang ada di Kabupaten Tegal. Usai memberikan arahan, Toto Subagio menyematkan tanda peserta secara simbolis kepada dua perwakilan peserta.
Di tempat lain, Nasrul, salah satu peserta pelatihan mengatakan, "Prospek budidaya udang galah di sini sangat baik sekali." Karena potensi alamnya disini sangat mendukung sekali. Nasrul berharap, setelah pelatihan ini supaya ada pendampingan baik pihak BPPP tegal maupun dari Dinas Perikanan Kab. Tegal. Sebab, menurut Nasrul, sebelum ini kami hanya mengusahakan budidaya lele, nila dan gurame.
